Soros hopes Indonesia`s democracy more lively

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - George Soros, founder of the Open Society Institute, has expressed hope democracy in Indonesia would become more lively.
After a meeting with Vice President Boediono here on Wednesday, Soros said he had come to Indonesia to review his support to Tifa Foundation which was dedicated to the creation of an open society.
He met Boediono accompanied by Tifa Foundation executive Yuli Ismartono.
Soros said Tifa Foundation had done its tasks properly. He hoped the foundation could more intensively activate democratic processes in Indonesia.
He said the Open Society Institute fully supported democracy in Indonesia and hoped that Tifa Foundation could help Indonesian democracy become more lively.
George Soros was born on August 12, 1930, in Budapest, Hungary.
In 1956, he moved to the United States, and started working as a financial analyst. In 1969, he founded his first offshore hedge fund, which grew immensely through speculation.
With a net worth estimated as $11 billion, George Soros is the 29th richest person in the world, according to Forbes magazine.
