Karachi (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - The profit after tax of Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) has increased to Rs 470.480 million (US$5.5 million) in the half year period ended December 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 231.179 million earned in the corresponding period in 2008.

The board of directors declared that the company's earning per ordinary share (basic) increased to Rs 4.23 against Rs 2.04 and earning per ordinary share diluted to Rs 3.70 against Rs 1.82.

According to the financial results, the company's net turnover increased to Rs 2.582 billion in this period against Rs 2.034 billion in the same period a year back.
