Pontianak, W Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - Some 100 journalists plan to take to the streets here to protest the beating of two journalists in last Saturday`s raid on rented houses and loggings.

The journalists grouped in the Solidarity for Anti-Violence Indonesian Reporters (SPIAK) of the West Kalimantan chapter would stage a peaceful rally in protest against the violence, the organization`s coordinator, Aceng Mukaram, said here on Thursday.

Pionerson, a journalist of the Harian Tribun daily, and Martono, a freelance journalist of TvOne, were beaten by the owner of logging in the raid.

Pionerson was injured on his lip and his camera was damaged.(*)
