Jakarta (ANTARA Nrws) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said no party should disturb the development efforts being made by the Indonesian people.

The President made the remark at a mass prayer (dzikir) service to observe the Prophet Muhammad`s birthday organized by the "Majelis Rasulullah" (Assembly of the Prophet) organization at the National Monument (Monas) square here on Friday morning.

President Yudhoyono called on all components of the people to work together in developing the nation for a more advanced, just, secure and prosperous future.

" Let`s us materialize that determination. No one should only watch and fold their arms, let alone disturb what we are developing now," the head of state said.

He said that a better future could only be achieved through the hard work and struggle of the people as it was suggested by God in His words that God would not change the fate of a nation unless the nation itself changes its own fate.

Yudhoyono asked Indonesian Muslims to follow Muhammad`s teachings and his behavior in the people`s and nation`s daily life so that a just, prosperous and democratic society such as that during the Prophet`s era could be created.

Yet, he said, the prophet`s struggle to create such a society had not been easy and was full of struggle that needs patience and steadfastness.

"The efforts to develop this beloved nation, is of course full of problems, tests and challenges. Let`s follow the prophet, be thankful, patient, steadfast and refuse to buckle under," the head of state said.(*)
