Sixteen bodies still buried in Pasirjambu landslide mud

Bandung (ANTARA News) - Efforts to find bodies of landslide victims in Pasirjambu, West Java, still continued on Saturday with focus put on locations of villagers` houses.
Sixteen people are believed still buried under the landslide after 30 others had been discovered until the fourth day after the incident on Friday.
"Yesterday seven bodies were found in the locations and today search efforts are still focussed on the area. The efforts are scheduled until 3.30pm as weather could turn bad quickly," Bandung resort police chief Senior Commissioner Imran Yunus said.
Around 400 police personnel as well as sniffer dogs have been deployed to find the remaining bodies of the victims, he said.
The landslide on Tuesday buried 21 housing units for tea plantation workers, a plantation administrative office, a sports hall, a mosque, a community health care center, part of the tea factory of Dewata Plantations.(*)Editor: Ruslan Burhani
