Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Vice President Boediono feels certain that President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will support him in the Bank Century case.

"All along since the Bank Century case came up, the vice president has been absolutely certain that President Yudhoyono will support him," the vice president`s spokesman, Yopi Hidayat, told the press at the vice presidential palace here on Tuesday.

He said ever since Yudhoyono and Boediono became president and vice president, the two leaders had continued to coordinate with and to support each other.

"The president always supports and trusts the vice president, and the other way round," Yopi Hidayat said.

Commenting on the House plenary session on the results of the House`s Bank Century inquiry earlier on Tuesday, Hidayat said the vice president was not disturbed because the latter considered it as a normal thing.

"The vice president remains calm over the case and is not under any stress," Hidayat said.

Asked about the possibility Boediono would lose his job as vice president, Hidayat diplomatically replied that people had better not engage in speculative projections.
"The political process is still ongoing and therefore it is better for us not to speculate," he said.

Hidayat added that Vice President Boediono was not a politician but a technocrat with the academic rank of professor.

"Boediono is not a politician and thus he does not engage in political activity because he is a technocrat," Yopi Hidayat said.(*)
