Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Publicly-listed coal mining firm PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) posted a net profit of Rp2.727 trillion last year, up 59.75 percent from a year earlier.

Income rose 23.98 percent to Rp8.947 trillion and gross profit jumped 37.19 percent to Rp4.843 trillion, according to the company`s financial statement published on Monday.

The cost of goods sold was meanwhile recorded at Rp4.014 trillion, a 11.34 percent increase compared to 2008 when the figure was Rp3.686 trillion.

The rise in net profit raised earning per share to Rp1,184 from Rp741.(*)
