Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Police have obtained the fingerprint of Dulmatin, believed to be one of three terror suspects shot dead in Pamulang, Banten, on Tuesday.
Densus-88 anti-terror police located and shot dead three terror suspects in two different places in Pamulang on Tuesday.

One of the dead victims was believed to be Dulmatin, suspected of involvement in terror actions in Java, Ambon, and Poso, and was responsible for Church bombings in Jakarta on Christmas eve in 2000.

"The police have had Dulmatin`s fingerprint," National Police Public Relations Division chief Insp Gen Edward Aritonang said here on Wednesday.

Aritonang said the fingerprint could be used for scientific identification besides DNA test.
"Fingerprint is enough to identify a person, in this case a terror suspect, without a DNA test," Aritonang said.

But he added that the police have yet to obtain a DNA sample of Dulmatin who was believed to have been one of the masterminds of the 2002 Bali bombings which claimed 202 lives, mostly foreigners.

Dulmatin used to be in the Philippines and was rumored to have been killed during a military raid in that country, but the rumors were false.(*)
