Landslide damages five houses in Lebak

"The landslide threatened 100 families but claimed no life," Supardi, head of the local social welfare section, Leuwidamar sub district, Lebak District, said on Wednesday.
The landslide was triggered by incessant heavy rains over the past few days.
He hoped the local authorities could relocate the people of the affected villages to a safer area soon."The only way to help them is relocating them to safer area," he said.
Most of the landslide victims were members of the Baduy Luar tribe.
"I hope that they can receive assistance from the local administration as they are facing economic difficulties," he said.(*)
