Malaysia to stage cultural performance in Jakarta

Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News/Bernama) - Malaysia is scheduled to present a cultural show at the "Best of Asean Performing Arts" (Bapa) at Dewan Usmar Ismail in Jakarta Thursday.
Culture and Arts director-general Norliza Rofli said it was aimed at strengthening culture, arts and heritage activities between Malaysia and Asean countries.
"We will showcase a dance and contemporary music performance based on the 1Malaysia concept of harmony of various cultures," she said in a statement here Wednesday.
Malaysia will be represented by singers Noryn Aziz and Iqwal, dancers from Istana Budaya (Palace of Culture), Dua Space Dance Theatre and Asthana Dance.
Information Communication and Culture Minister Dr Rais Yatim has
been scheduled to attend the cultural performance.
