Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Vice President Boediono on Friday morning opened Agrinex International Exhibition 2010 at the Jakarta Convention Center.

Rector of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) Herry Suhardiyanto said Indonesia has great agribusiness potential and role which could be further developed towards food security and self-reliance.

"By this event we also wish to point out that the great agribusiness potential can support the national economic development," he said.

Chief organizer of Agrinex International Expo 2010 Rifda Amarina said compared in the past years, more participants are taking part in this year`s event.

"Several other countries are also taking part like Poland, Turki, Italy, China, Malaysia and Singapore," he said.

Not only that, she added, this year`s event is also attended by several observer countries like France, Peru, Sri Lanka and Kuwait.
