Miami (ANTARA News/Reuters) - The Miami Heat suspended Dorell Wright for two games on Friday after the six-year NBA veteran was arrested for driving under the influence.

Wright, 24, was arrested early on Thursday in Miami`s South Beach and charged with drunk-driving and driving with a suspended license.

"This is out of character for Dorell, we feel he`s a good person and that he will learn from this mistake," Heat president Pat Riley said in a statement.

The guard/forward is averaging 6.3 points and 3.1 rebounds this season and will miss Miami`s home games against Chicago on Friday and Philadelphia on Sunday.
