Transvestite first borrows but later steals cell phone

Pangkalpinang (ANTARA News) - Pangkalpinang police arrested a transvestite for trying to get away with a cell phone in a restaurant after borrowing it, Sunday.
The Pangkalpinang police information division chief, Eko Novan Prasetyo said that according to Pangkalpinang Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner, Margiyanta, the transvestite was arrested after receiving a complaint from the victim, Siti.
"Initially, the suspect admitted to borrow the cell phone, but as it was good, he decided to steal it," he said.
The Police then arrested the suspect at a beauty parlor and detained him at the Pangkalpinang Police precinct, Bangka Belitung Province.
"The suspect is detained for further investigation," he said.
He claimed that actually he did not have the intention to steal it, but as it was of the latest model, he eventually quickly decided to get away with it.
"I did not intend to steal it, but because the cell phone was so beautiful, I decided to steal and later sell it," the suspect said. (*)Editor: B Kunto Wibisono
