Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s excise receipts in the year ending on March 10 reached Rp12.75 trillion, accounting for 22.26 percent of the target set in the 2010 state budget.

The target of excise receipts for 2010 is Rp57.29 trillion, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise said in its online report on Monday.

Import duty receipts reached Rp3.15 trillion or 18.98 percent of the target of Rp16.57 trillion, the report said.

Export duty receipts stood at Rp407.43 billion or 5.34 percent of the target of Rp7.63 trillion, it said.

The directorate general said earlier excise receipts in the year ended February 23 reached 11.29 trillion or 19.71 percent of the target set in the 2010 state budget.

Import duty receipts reached Rp2.36 trillion or 14.25 percent and export duty receipts Rp312.04 billion or 4.09 percent of the target.

In January 2010 alone, excise receipts stood at 5.23 trillion or 9.13 percent of the target.

"The excise receipts are relatively high although overall, customs and excise receipts are still low because we are at the start of the year," Director General of Customs and Excise Thomas Sugijata said.

Meanwhile, import duty receipts in January stood at Rp1.15 trillion or 6.97 percent of the target.
