Istanbul (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Turkey's Alarko Holding has said it will make investments worth US$2.5-3 billion in electricity generation over the next five years.

Ayhan Yavrucu, general coordinator of Alarko Group, said on Friday that the company had made an investment of US$40 million for electricity generation and investment of US$440 million for distribution in 2009.

Yavrucu said it was seeking a foreign partner. "We have been holding talks with European, American and Far Eastern companies," he said.

Alarko would launch a project on hydroelectrical power plant worth US$130-150 million in the southern province of Adana this year, Yavrucu added.
