Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The House of Representatives (DPR) endorsed the draft of the revised 2010 state budget into the revised 2010 state budget at a plenary meeting here on Monday.
Chief of the House`s Budget Board Harry Azhar Azis said all the House factions at the board had agreed on the draft of revised 2010 state budget for endorsement.
The meeting was originally planned to have spokespersons of the House factions to present their final views. But because all the House factions at the board had agreed on the draft of the revised 2010 state budget the session was later canceled.
The plenary meeting was postponed for one hour following pros and cons over the presence of Finance Minister Sri Mulyani at the meeting.
Sri Mulyani was among those named by several party factions in the House`s Bank Century Inquiry Committee as responsible for the Bank Century scandal.
Sri Mulyani was a former chair of the Financial System Stability Committee who played a decisive role behind the decision to inject Rp6.7 trillion into Bank Century in the midst of the global financial crisis in 2008 to save the bank from total collapse.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was expected to question her for the second time on Tuesday over the bailout case.
However, the meeting later allowed Mulyani to deliver her final views on amendment to Law No. 47 of 2009 on the 2010 state budget.
In the revised 2010 state budget, both the government and the House agreed to raise state spending by Rp78.5 trillion to Rp1,126 trillion from Rp1,047.7 trillion as originally planned.
State receipts and grants had been raised by Rp42.7 trillion to Rp992,4 trillion from Rp949,7 trillion.
"The government will try as maximally as possible to achieve the targeted Rp10.1 trillion increase of tax receipts to Rp743.3 trillion from Rp733.2 trillion as originally proposed," the finance minister said.(*)Editor: Aditia Maruli
