Jakarta (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Indonesian state-owned plantation company PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) IV in Medan plans to spend Rp12.8 trillion (US$1.4 billion) over the five years up to 2013.

The
producers of palm oil will need Rp8.5 trillion to finance the plan, which was launched in 2008, its president Dahlan Harahap said.

The company needs the funds for replanting to replace old
trees and repair palm oil processing plants, Harahap said.
