Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Foreign Affairs Ministry handed over an Ambassador of the Future book to the National News Agency (LKBN) ANTARA about the handling of natural disasters and Indonesian diplomacy, at the ANTARA Photo Journalistic Gallery (GFJA) in Jakarta Friday.

According to the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affair`s publishing sub directory Jujur Tagalung the cooperation between the National News Agency ANTARA with the Foreign Affairs Ministry could take place simultaneously.

The book shows documents about rebuilding areas of natural disasters such as the Aceh Tsunami, earthquakes in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Bengkulu, Yogyakarta and Pangandaran.

Jujur also said that the book has received compliments and appreciations of ANTARA`s photography masterworks collection from some 119 Indonesian representatives overseas.

GFJA`s Curator Oscar Motuloh in his speech said that this book got a positive intervention of the making of it from Hassan Wirajudha while he was a Foreign Minister.

"This book offers a composite picture of recent natural disasters in Indonesia and made in a story telling-like to draw the people`s interest," said Oscar.

The photos in this book described the natural disasters from the 2004 tsunami in Aceh, Yogyakarta earthquake in 2006 to 2009 until the latest Pangandaran earthquake which always followed some disaster aid and humanitarian diplomacy from other countries. (*)
