Seoul (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. (KSE:042660), South Korea's No. 2 shipbuilder, said today that it has won a 310 billion won (US$262 million) order to build a car ferry for a Tunisian firm.

Under the deal with Tunisia's state-run Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation, Daewoo Shipbuilding will deliver the vessel by the first half of 2012, it said.

With the deal, Daewoo Shipbuilding now has won orders valued at over US$5 billion so far this year. The shipbuilder aims at reaching US$10 billion for the year.
