Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Bank Mutiara Tbk, formerly Bank Century , in the first semester of 2010 saw a 58.3 percent drop in its profits to Rp58.3 billion from Rp140 billion a year earlier.

Net interest income surged 584.47 percent to Rp61.165 billion from Rp8.936 billion, however, operating profit plummeted to Rp59.334 billion from Rp83.78 billion, according to the bank`s financial report published on Thursday.

As per June 30, 2010, the bank`s total assets stood at Rp8.541 trillion, compared to Rp6.626 trillion in the year ended on June 30, 2009.(*)
