Marriot Hotel bombing victims commemorate incident

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Tens of victims of the first JW Marriot bombing in Kuningan, South Jakarta, in 2003 gathered at the site of bombing at 12.46 hours to pray in commemoration of the incident.
"By commemorating the bombing incident victims and their families could unite and deal with their problems," deputy chairman of the Association of Terrorist Bombing Victims in Indonesia (ASKOBI), Mulyono, said to newsmen here on Thursday.
Mulyono is one of the victims of the bombing at 12.46 hours seven years ago. Sixty victims attended the commemoration including their families.
"Some of those who came are widows whose husbands died in the bombing," Mulyono said.
The bombing at JW Marriot Hotel on August 5, 2003 killed 12 people and wounded 157.
"ASKOBI reaches out to all bombing victims and their families in Indonesia," he said.
Another bombing victim at JW Marriot, Bambang, said he hoped he could have a better future after the incident.
"I thanked all parties that have helped the victims and hoped they could have a better future," he said.
