President threatened by certain elements in West Java

Pangalengan, W Java (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono disclosed here Saturday he was under threat of terrorist action during a working visit to Ciwidey, West Java.
"I received a report from security last night that certain elements with bad intentions were lurking in the Ciwidey area to do something against me," the President said when inspecting a training school for army recruits in West Java.
But the head of state also said terrorist elements would never prevail on Indonesian soil.
"Never will terrorist elements prevail on Indonesian soil, They will only succeed in victimizing innocent people," the president said.
The president added the terror elements that had targeted him were successfully overcome by members of the presidential security force.
Therefore, the head of state asked the presidential security personnel to carry out their task well.
The president even said he would go ahead with his two-day working visit in West Java in spite of the threat.
"To the presidential security personnel, I would say do your job well and professionally because I will continue to go about my responsibilities without being disturbed by anything," the president said.
On Saturday morning the head of sate visited Cinta Kasih Outstanding School in Pangalengan, West Java, and at noon he visited a training school for Army recruits and a Smart House at Mekar Sari village in Ciwidey.
On Friday afternoon, Yudhoyono visited an athlete training center ("Golden Indonesian Program") in Batujajar, West Bandung District.
The president and his entourage are expected to return to Jakarta on Saturday evening.
