Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Anggodo Widjojo, the suspect of bribing the chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is facing six years in jail from the KPK prosecutor.

As read out by the prosecutor, Monday, Anang Supriatna in special court session in Jakarta, Anggodo also had to pay Rp200 million in fine or spend six months more in jail if he failed to make the payment.

The prosecutor conlude that Anggodo was proven legally and convincingly guilty of commiting corruption. Anggodo has made an agreement with Ary Muladi to bribe the KPK chief and investigator with Rp. 5.150 million.

The defendant violated Law No 20 of 2001 on corruption eradication.

Before closing the court session, the presiding judge, Tjokorda Rae Suamba said the trial will be continued on Tuesday with the defendant given a chance to read out his defense. (*)
