Another LPG canister bursts in Klaten

Klaten, Central Java (ANTARA News) - Another leaking LPG canister exploded in Klaten regency Thursday night.
The burst has seriously injured a 74-year old woman at her house in Wanglu village in Trucuk subdistrict, Klaten, Central Java.
Trucuk police said the canister blew up after old woman, Tukinah, tried to light her gas stove.
After trying to light the stove four times, suddenly the gas canister burst.
Right now Tukinah sustaining burns on her hands and face is being treated at a nearby public health center.
The gas canister, a pipe and LPG regulator are held by the police as evidence.
The police is also still trying to find the exact cause of the burst, which was the third in Klaten in the past month.
Before that, one whole family in Ngawen had burns throughout their bodies in the explosion in the small hours of Friday (Aug 13).
The three victims Parlan, Ari Mulyani, and Amalia are still in intensive care at the Soeradji Tirtonegoro public hospital in Klaten. (*)Editor: B Kunto Wibisono
