Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Chief Economic Minister Hatta Radjasa said he had not yet thought of nominating himself in the 2014 presidential race because he was still concentrating on his present position.

"Now I work as a coordinating minister for economic affairs and for that I am fully concentrating on my jobs," the minister told the press at the vice presidential palace here on Thursday.

Hatta made the remarks after attending a meeting that discussed about oil development.

Led by Vice President Boediono, the meeting was also attended by among others Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Darwin Saleh, Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi and State Enterprise Minister Mustafa Abubakar.

When asked by reporters whether he was ready to be nominated as a vice presidential candidate in 2014, Hatta did not respond to it, rushing to his waiting car.

Hatta, who is general chairman of the Indonesian National Mandate Party (PAN) said his position as chief economic minister required him to fully concentrate on his jobs.

The minister continued to be tight-lipped although a reporter called him "Mr Presidential candidate."

Earlier, former PAN chairman Amien Rais said that PAN would nominate its General Chairman Hatta Rajasa as presidential candidate in 2014.
