Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Pulogadung Bus Terminal in East Jakarta is providing 30 buses every day to transport Idul Fitri travelers in the post-fasting Lebaran festivities, chief of the terminal HM Nur said.

"On Saturday, only 213 business were departed because the number of travelers did not yet increase sharply," he said here on Sunday.

He said that travelers were called on to remain alert during their trips to their home towns and not to bring to many belongings so that their journeys would be comfortable.

HM Nur said that they should remain alert because there had been many cases where passengers were drugged or hypnotized. Passengers must be well-focused and concentrate and should not easily be influenced by unrecognized men.

He said that his side was cooperating with police, military personnel, paramedics, private radio organizations (ORARI) and insurance firms to support the smoothness of travelers` trips.

Millions of seasonal passengers travel to their home towns to have family reunions during the annual post-fasting Lebaran holidays.

During the Idul Fitri holiday season last year, the number of home-bound travelers reached about 27.25 million, of which 16.2 million used various public transportation modes while the remaining 11.2 million used private cars and motorcycles.(*)
