London (ANTARA News) - Serbian President Boris Tadic has expressed interest to visit Indonesia and meet Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

The Serbian president expressed his desire to visit Indonesia when he received Indonesian Ambassador to Serbia Semuel Samson who presented his credentials to the president, according to Indonesian Embassy`s secretary in Belgrade Ance Maylany on Sunday.

Maylany said that the Serbian president expected that President Yudhoyono would visit Serbia and receive him.

After the handing of the credentials, the Indonesian ambassador was received by the Serbian president to discuss issues of mutual concern that should be reached in the future.

The 50th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) will be celebrated in Indonesia in May this year and in Serbia in September. This is to commemorate the first NAM conference held in Belgrade (Yugoslavia) in 1961.

Indonesia, Yugoslavia, Egypt and India constituted the main founders of the NAM.

Indonesia opened its embassy in Belgrade in 1956.

Serbia is one of the break-way republics of Yugoslavia in the Balkan region or in the Southern Europe. The other break-away states are Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Macedonia.
