Norman met me today, so the point is he should channel his talent. But he must not violate (police) regulations and ethics
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - National Police chief General Timur Pradopo said here on Friday that First Brigadier Norman Kamaru, who sang an Indian song and uploaded in YouTube on March 29, can channel his singing talent, but not when on duty.

Norman, of Gorontalo (Northern Sulawesi) police office who sang while wearing a uniform recently, was summoned by the national police chief Friday.

"Norman met me today, so the point is he should channel his talent. But he must not violate (police) regulations and ethics," the police chief said.

The police chief Timur Pradopo said the first brigadier is allowed to develop his singing talent in a bid to entertain the public.

"We have a partnership program, I think it is an implementation of that in the Mobile Brigade unit which also has a partnership which needs to be developed," Pradopo said.

Norman who arrived at the national police head quarters in Jalan Trunojoyo, Jakarta at 9.20 am on Friday from Gorontalo, showed his best to sing two songs in the presence of reporters. (*)
