A source said the flood happened due to the overflow of Blega river following heavy rain which struck the area on Saturday (Jan 29).
Surti, a local people, stated around 20 houses located near the river were inundated with water since 8 o`clock in the morning.
The Sunday flood is not only inundating people`s houses but also a road connecting Bangkalan and Sampang districts. Hectares of paddy field belonging to the local farmers are also inundated by the flood.(*)
