Bogor, W Java (ANTARA News) - All parties who have made a commitment to stepping up national development should fulfill it, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono here on Monday.

The president made the statement when he opened a government working meeting at Bogor Palace to discuss the acceleration of Indonesian economic development program which is to be formulated in a document.

"I will sign the master plan in the document but I hope the governors, ministers, and main investors will sign the document on the implementation of the development. Lest any of the investors break their promise," the president said.

In relation with the discussion and implementation of Indonesian economic development acceleration program, the head of state asked all parties to seriously implement the program to reach the expansion of economic development.

In the master plan there are also a number of short term and long term projects with high costs, and thus the president asked all parties not to hurriedly reap the benefits of the projects which will bear fruit in the next five to ten years.

"Do not expect to reap the fruit of the projects in one or two years, because some of them will bear fruit in five years and some in 10 years but we can start from now," the president said at the working meting.

The working meeting was attended by all cabinet ministers, leaders of the government institutions and non-departments, as well as chairman of the state-owned companies (BUMN) to discuss the planning and implementation of the government programs for 2011.

Provincial governors are also participating in the meeting which will also discuss efforts to synergize between the programs of the central government and regional administrations.

Similar meetings had previously been organized among other things at Cipanas Palace and Tampak Siring Palace.(*)
