Canberra (ANTARA News) - Vice President Boediono questioned the accuracy of The Age and Sydney Morning Herald reports accusing President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) of corruption and abuse of power.

"The source was diplomatic notes which were still raw and its accuracy was not verified," Boediono said at the Indonesian embassy in Canberra, Friday.

The Vice President made the statement during an unplanned press conference held on the sidelines of his working visit to Australia, to respond to the news carried by the two Australian dailies.

"President SBY and I share the same ideals. As vice president and someone who has worked with him for long time, I am fully convinced, and have not the slightest doubt," Boediono said.

Boediono said did not have the slightest doubt about the President`s sincere intention to advance the nation and improve the people`s welfare by continuing the reform process, eradicating corruption and creating good governance.

Vice President Boediono was in Canberra on Friday and he and his entourage will proceed to Sydney on Saturday.
