Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Minister of Law and Human Rights Affairs Patrialis Akbar said Indonesia still needs 11,326 more notaries public.

"Our need for notaries public reaches 21,058 while now we only have 9,732 notaries public," the minister said when addressing a training course on notaries here on Tuesday.

He said however that the need for notaries public would have been met at the end of the Second United Indonesia Cabinet`s term.

"There is still a big chance. There are many younger generations who come to the ministry of law and legal affairs to ask how they could get a license to become a notary public," the minister said.

Therefore, the minister said he had asked the directorate general for general legal administration affairs to give them a chance to become a notary public if they fulfill the required conditions.

Patrialis said that giving a chance to those who were creative would also help create job opportunities for others.

He said that one of the government`s vision was `pro-job` and this meant that jobs must be created for the people whose number was relatively big.

"Today, I will report to the president that after this training course there would be 1,300 younger generations who would have the identities as a notary public," the minister said.
