Taipei (ANTARA News/CNA) - A photography exhibition that opened in Mexico City recently is giving exposure to Taiwan arts and culture in the North American country, Taiwan`s representative office in Mexico reported Thursday.

The exhibition, titled "Taiwan Sublime, " features 40 photos, mainly of Taiwan`s landscape, taken by Taiwanese photographers Chen Tzu-hsiung, Liu Chen-hsiang, Huang Ting-sheng and Chi Po-lin.

Several Chinese ceramic artworks are also on display at the exhibition, which will run until May 30 at the city`s Zocalo metro station.

Samuel Ayala, head of service department at the Mexico City Metro, said at the opening that the exhibition would help Mexicans understand more about Taiwanese culture.

At the event, Taiwan`s representative to Mexico Andrea Lee said he hoped the exhibition would help to boost relations between Taiwan and Mexico.

A Chinese lion dance troupe that was invited to perform at the ceremony won warm applause from the visitors.

Zocalo metro station, located at the historic center of Mexico City, has more than one million passengers passing though every month. (*)
