A total of 125 manpower recruiting companies had been classified as having bad performance so that they were suspended, even the licenses of 35 PPTKIS have been revoked and 40 others had had their licenses frozen.
Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA News) - Manpower Minister Muhaimin Iskandar has frozen the activities of at least 40 manpower supplier companies (PPTKIS) for bad performance.

"A total of 125 manpower recruiting companies had been classified as having bad performance so that they were suspended, even the licenses of 35 PPTKIS have been revoked and 40 others had had their licenses frozen," Minister Muhaimin said here on Tuesday night.

The minister said that all of the steps were taken in an effort to ensure the safety of Indonesian migrant workers abroad.

He also said his side had made classifications and applied them for PPTKIS the results of which had led his ministry to find the bad performance of 125 manpower recruiting firms.

"Besides that we also are doing our best to provide security guarantee for migrant workers abroad. We are still closing the doors for Indonesian migrant workers to enter a number of destination countries abroad. We will reopen them if security guarantee for them has already been provided," he said.

The minister said that the gates of his ministry was still temporarily closed to the dispatch of Indonesian workers including those of Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. (A014)
