Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Thirty businessmen from Jakarta will participate in the Muslim World Biz 2011 Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur next June to market their products to Muslim consumers, trade attache Ani Mulyati said.

"Thirty businessmen from Jakarta have confirmed their readiness to participate in the exhibition," she said here on Saturday.

The businessmen to join the exhibition include producers of muslim clothing, leather products, accessories, caligraphy products and halal foods.

She said the exhibition would indeed by attended by a lot of buyers or business persons from Muslim countries.

"We hope the business persons from Jakarta would gain a potential market from buyers from the Middle Eastern countries and others," she said.

Based on monitoring by the Indonesian embassy, the Muslim World Buz 2011 is the second with the first being held last year attracting a lot of foreign buyers.

Some Indonesian business persons would also participate in the Malaysia International Food and Beverage (MIFB 2011) in Kuala Lumpur.

"The MIFB will take place from July 14 to 16. Regarding the number of Indonesian participants we still have had no exact number," she said.

The MIFB in 2010 was attended by participants from 48 countries and visited by 20,228 business persons and created more than 1,000 business partnerships.

Ani said Malaysia has been actively holding international-level exhibitions and the schedule for it is very tight from January to December this year.

"Many Indonesian participants take part in a number of the exhibitions," she said.
