Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Chinese government will hold another technology and products expo called "The 10th China Technical Equipment and Commodities Exhibition" in at the Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran, from May 25 to 28, 2011.

"In the last ten years this expo had become an effective communication for cooperation and investment development between the two countries," Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce Wang Xinpei said in Jakarta Tuesday.

He said the exhibition will be bigger that the previous ones, and more than 53 Chinese participants had confirmed their participation and display their lates products and technology.

Wang Xinpei also said that the exhibition also has the support both of the Chinese and Indonesian governments, other government organizations and the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries.

"This expo is a good opportunity for promoting economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and developing projects and investment," Wang Xinpei added.

Besides displaying products, various art and cultural events will also be held.

The products on display will cover technology and energy-saving and environmentally friendly technology and products, machinery including electronic and processing equipment and high-technology electronic equipment and information technology.

Major Chinese companies will take part in the expo like Shanghai JT Optoelectronic Co Ltd, Shanghai Xilong Solar Energy Technology Co Ltd, Shanghai Wellzoom International Trade Co Ltd, Shanghai Toptex, Shanghai No.1 National Musical Instruments Factory, and some others.

The art and cultural shows will present artists from the wellknown Shanghai Yu Garden in China showing their traditional handicraft articles like paper cutters, silhouette, art of making bronze products and stone cutting.

China and Indonesia have close relations for quite a long time. The pevious of Chinese PM Wen Jiabao had bolstered the political, economic, cultural and technological ties and promoted mutually beneficial strategic partnership between the two countries.

The implementation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area had increased trade between the two countries and their trade volume reached 42.75 billion US dollars in 2010, a 50 pct increase from a year earlier.

When for the first time held in Indonesia in 2002, the Chinese Technical Equipment and Commodities Exhibition had been attended by more than 600 companies and 45,000 business people and held business negotiations.(*)
