The Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry staged the international fair on May 23-25, 2011 in cooperation with the Manpower and Transmigration Ministry, the National Education Ministry, the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Ministry, and the Jakarta Manpower Office.

Fadel said the first ever event was participated in by around 50 leading national and international companies in the maritime and fisheries fields, such as fishing companies, fish farming companies, marine and fisheries product processing companies, labor recruitment agencies and other companies from among others Japan, China, South Korea, and Spain.

The fair offered around 10,000 job opportunities to job seekers who could apply by directly coming to the fair grounds or apply online at www.jobfairkkp.com.
