Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State-owned electricity firm PT PLN will announce, in less than a month since May 24 2011, the winning bidder of its Central Java PLTU power plant tender, its president director said.

PLN President Director Dahlan Iskan in press release said that his side would decide the winning bidder on Wednesday after his company carried out evaluation of bidders offers, through the second opening of responsive bidders envelopes and opening of financial bids.

"With the opening of the financial bids we would knew the prices bidders were offering for the the Central Java PLTU power plant projects," Dahlan said.

He said that his side evaluated the conditions built-in in the financial bids so that the company would have been able to announce the winning bidder in the middle of next month.

Previously on April 29, 2011 it was known that there were four qualified bidders whose proposals were satisfying, namely JPower-Itachu-Adaro consortium, Marubeni Corporation, China Shenhua Energy Company Ltd and CNTICA-Guandong Yudean consortium.

Of the four bidders, three bidders were known to have failed the technical evaluation and only one which passed it namely the Jpower-Itochu-Adaro consortium. The offer price of this consortium is lower than the Self-Estimate Price (HPS) made by the tender committee.
