Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa said he has not yet heard about the arrest of the bribery-case-suspect Nunun Nurbaeti in Thailand.

The minister made the statement after attending Pancasila Day commemoration at the House of Representatives` building here on Wednesday.

"I haven`t heard about it," he said.

However Marty said his ministry would always provide assistance and support for the National Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to carry out its duties including bring back Nunun to Indonesia to face trial (previous report said she recently stayed in Singapore).

Earlier, KPK sent a special team to Thailand to find out whether Nunun was really there. In Thailand, a KPK team worked with the local attorney general office.

In May 23, 2011, the KPK named Nunun Nurbaeti a suspect in connection with an alleged bribery linked to the election of Bank Indonesia`s Senior Deputy Governor Miranda Gultom in 2004, the anti-graft body`s chief said.

In several court sessions on the case of the issuance of traveler`s cheques involving certain politicians who were former members of the House Commission IX, Nunun Nurbaeti, the wife of House Commission III member and former National Police deputy chief Adang Dorojatun, had been mentioned several times as the one who had distributed the traveler`s cheques through Dedhi Makmun Murod.

Nunun gave the cheques through Arie Malangjudo in a restaurant in the Senayan area to Dudhie who claimed that he had been ordered to do it by Panda Nababan, a senior politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party ofStruggle (PDIP).

Former parliament member Emir Moeis meanwhile said when giving his testimony at the trial of Panda Nababan and friends at the corruption court he refused a cheque given by Dudhie which he suspected was connected with the election of Mirand Goeltom.

Emir, quoting Dudhie, said the cheques were given to former House Commission IX members of the 1999-2004 period that had worked two days and two nights to select the then Bank Indonesia senior deputy governor.
