Palu, Central Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Vice President Boediono and four ministers are expected to attend a celebration of the 81st anniversary of Alkhairaat at Alkhairaat Islamic boarding school, Wosu, Morowali District, Central Sulawesi, July 2, 2011.

"It has been confirmed from Jakarta, four ministers will come. Some of them will join the vice president`s entourage on July 2, 2011, via Soroako, Southeast Sulawesi," Hamdan Rampadio, chairman of the anniversary`s organizing committee, said here Tuesday.

The four ministers are National Education Minister Mohammad Nuh, Religious Affairs Minister Suryadharma Ali, Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Fadel Muhammad, and Social Affairs Minister Salim Segaf Aljufri.

Minister Fadel and Minister Salim are among executive board members of Alkhairaat. Salim is the chairman of the Ulema Council of Alkhairaat, and Fadel is the chairman of Alkhairaat Foundation.

The four ministers will speak in the anniversary activities organized from July 1 to 3, 2011.

Among the important agenda during the anniversary activities is a gathering of teachers from 1,700 Alkhairaat madrasah (Islamic schools) located throughout Indonesia.

"One school is to be represented by one teacher. But some schools want to send two teachers. The number of teachers might reach around 2,000," Hamdan said.

Minister Mohammad Nuh and Minister Suryadharma Ali will speak before the teachers.

Established 81 years ago, Alkhairaat is Islamic-based organization engaged in education.

Alkhairaat is the largest Muslim organization in eastern Indonesia. It has schools in 12 provinces and 84 districts. At present, Alkhairaat has 43 Islamic boarding schools and more than 1.700 madrasah (Islamic schools).
