Bogor, W Java (ANTARA News) - Police have concluded an investigation into a fire that razed an Islamic boarding school in Bogor and killed two girls, a spokesman said.

"The investigation finished at around 1 am local time on Monday. The two girls were burned as they were trapped in two separate rooms," Adjunct Commissioner Imron Ernawan of the Bogor Police office said here on Monday.

Two girls were killed when the fire razed Ibnu Tarwiyah Islamic Boarding School located at Sukaharja village, Cijeruk sub district, Bogor District, West Java Province, here on Sunday evening.

The fire started at the girls` dormitory for junior high school students.

The fatalities were Nurfahmiyah (19), a student , and Yulisiticariwyah (18), an employee at the school`s administration unit. Their charred bodies were found on the second floor.

The fire lasted for two hours and the source was still under investigation.

Police have grilled four witnesses, including Tedy and Sawa, male students, and Ahmad, the deputy principal of the boarding school.(*)
