"Cooperation with the media is something important now that the media also plays a bigger role in deciding the future of the nation. Therefore, there need to be information transparency," he said at a meeting with editors-in-chief here on Tuesday.
Yet the media had no access to all pieces of information because there were important things which were not suitable for the public, he said.
Uni Lubis representing the editors-in-chief hailed the Army chief`s pledge to have better communication with the public through the media.
