Brasilia (ANTARA News/AFP) - A Brazilian Air Force plane crashed Tuesday in the southern state of Santa Catarina, killing all eight occupants on board, officials said.

An Air Force statement said there were "no survivors" of the crash of the C-98A Grand Caravan plane, which disappeared two hours after taking off from Canoas in Rio Grande do Sul state, heading for Rio de Janeiro.

An investigation was underway. (*)
