Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Former Democrat Party treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin arrived here at around 8pm on Saturday after being on the run for the past two-and-half months and named a corruption suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission.

Upon arrival from Bogota, Colombia, where he was arrested on Monday, Nazaruddin was immediately rushed to the police Mobile Brigade Heaquarters detention center.

Nazaruddin made the trip from Bogota to Jakarta aboard a chartered plane escorted by 10 officials from Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the police, the immigration office and the foreign ministry.

He was caught in Bogota using a passport belonging to another person. He left Indonesia on May 23 or a day before the KPK asked the law and human rights ministry to prevent him from leaving the country. ***3***
