Jakarta (ANTARA News) - House of Representatives (DPR)`s Deputy Speaker Pramono Anung appreciated the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for arresting two ranking officials of the Ministry of Manpower.

"No one should cast doubt over the performance of the KPK. It has made arrests on state officials even if the country is facing post-fasting month Idul Fitri festivities. I support it so that it could improve further its performance," Pramono said here on Friday.

He said that the KPK should stop at arresting small perpetrators but it should disclose corruption cases until their main players.

Pramono, who is also former secretary general of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) said that of course there were still main players in the 2011 acceleration regional infrastructure development projects in 19 districts worth Rp500 billion.

"Let say that the value of the project is Rp500 billion. Then the KPK arrested the briber with bribery case amounting to Rp1.5 billion. Of course there must other planers," Pramono said.

On August 25, KPK arrested the head of evaluation and planning department, Dadong Irbarelawan, the secretary of the Directorate General of Transmigration Area Development Supervision, I Nyoman Suisanaya, and businessman Dharnawati in three different places over bribery allegations. (*)
