Bandarlampung (ANTARA News) - Heavy reverse Idul Fitri traffic flows took place in the central and southern lanes of the Sumatra highways in Lampung province on Saturday night.

ANTARA correspondent reported on Sunday that the central lanes between Bukit Kemuning in North Lampung and Terbanggi Besar in Central Lampung up to Bandarlampung on Saturday night were packed with travelers` vehicles.

The flows were still relatively smooth, yet there were several sections where vehicles accumulated and faced bottle-necks.

The heavy traffic flows were caused by a large number of inter-provincial and inter-city buses, private cars and motorcycles.

In the meantime, the traffic flow between Rajasabasa-Bakauheni has also shown an increased activity on Sunday morning, where vehicles were dominated by those which headed to Java.
