Jakarta (ANTARA News) - House Commission III on legal affairs will conduct a fit-and-proper test on 18 would-be supreme justices for one week beginning on Tuesday, Commission III chairman Benny K Harman said.

Benny said here on Tuesday that during the fit-and-proper test, the would-be supreme judges would be asked to present their views on tasks and roles of supreme justices and their knowledge about legislation.

He said that the would-be supreme justices had previously been tested on drafting papers in the working room of Commission III on Thursday last week.

Each of the would-be judges was obliged to produce a five-page paper with a 1.5 space in one hour time, he said.

"Commission III prepared five topics on supreme justice tasks. They should choose one and make papers about it before they undergo the paper test," Benny said.
