Geneva (ANTARA News/AFP) - Over 2,700 people have been killed in Syria`s bloody crackdown on protestors, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said on Wednesday (Sept. 21)

Spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani told AFP that according to the most recent information, the total number people killed in Syria`s unrest had increased by over a hundred from the previous figure of 2,600.

"More than one hundred were reportedly killed in the week between the 12th and 19th of September," she said.

"We are continuing to receive reports of killings," Shamdasani said, without giving more information.
