"Up till now, 617 people from a number of countries have registered with us for participation," chairman of the organizing committee Doddy Soepardi said here on Friday.
He said the WBS was held to facilitate exchange of knowledge and views on production techniques, practical ideas and marketing methods for batik products. There would be two main events in the summit, namely World Batik Conference and World Batik Exhibition.
Doddy added nine batik experts from abroad and three from Indonesia would attend the summit.
He expressed hope the summit would encourage people from abroad and at home to know more about Batik. (T.ANT-14/A051/HAJM/A014)
