Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Sunday evening called a limited meeting with high-ranking security officials following a suicide bomb blast at a church in Solo, Central Java, earlier in the day.

The top security officials included Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Chief of the Security Maintenance Board Comr. Gen. Iman Sudjarwo, Head of the Strategic Intelligence Board (Bais) Rear Admiral Soleman B Ponto, Deputy Chief of the Police Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) Insp. Gen. Bekto Suprapto and Chief of the State Intelligence Board Sutanto.

The meeting took place before the President called a press conference related to the incident.

Earlier in the day, presidential spokesman Julian A Pasha said President Yudhoyono had received a report on the suicide bomb blast and ordered the national police chief and his ranks and files to probe the incident as soon as possible.

Meanwhile,Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto said the President had condemned the bomb blast and expressed concern about the terror act.

In this connection, Djoko said, the President asked all components of the community to keep vigilance and increase social awareness in addressing any terror act.

He said the police were still combing the area around the church and identifying anything at the suicide bomb blast site.

Prior to the limited meeting, the chief security minister rectified his previous statement which put the death toll in the bomb blast at two.

The bomb exploded at the Bethel Injil Sepenuh (GBIS) church in Solo, Central Java, at 10.55 a.m. after congregation performed the second service.

At least one person was killed and dozens of others injured in the bomb blast. Eight of the injured are being treated at dr Oen hospital in Solo.(*)
